Fire à Fire Prevention à Office Of The Fire Marshal

The Fire Marshal’s Office directs three primary programs of the St. Charles Fire Department. These programs are: code compliance, inspection services, and Public Education activities. We strive to assure the safety of our residents and the safety of those who visit and work in our City.

Business hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.


Our office is also responsible for the Arson Investigation Unit, and cause and origin determinations.

Additional programs administered by the Fire Marshal’s Office are: 
  • PIO (Public Information Officer).
  • Liaison Officer to St. Charles County Department of Dispatch and Alarm.
  • Coordination of Public Education Activities with other public and private agencies (The American Red Cross, City of St. Charles Police Department, St. Charles County EMA).
  • All Public Education activities;  tours, safety presentations, truck displays, and requests for car seat installations are scheduled through the Fire Marshal’s Office. Please call: 636-949-3253.
