CITY OF ST. CHARLES PLUMBER'S INFORMATION It will cost the plumber $50.00 to take "each" test. (Ordinance No. 87-106) When you pass the plumber's test, you will need to submit the following: 1. A $10,000 compliance bond. NOTE: Bonds for one year or more must expire on June 30th unless you have a continuous bond. If your bond is continuous, it must be stated on the bond. You must submit the original bond to our department - no bond copies. 2. A $250 deposit which is refundable. If you determine that you will not be doing any more plumbing work in the City of Saint Charles, and all plumbing bills have been paid you must submit, in writing, your request for a refund of your deposit. 3. A check for $35 for a plumber's license. The license is renewable each year. The license is good from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. PLEASE NOTE: If the plumber is getting his plumber's license after December 31, the plumber's license fee is half price - $17.50. 4. A paid personal property tax receipt or tax waiver. Companies whose offices reside in St. Charles County are required to submit a copy of their paid personal property taxes. Offices that reside outside St. Charles County should contact the St. Charles County Assessor’s Office at 636-949-7423 to request a waiver.
