The City of St. Charles uses the
LocationOne
system, a part of the Missouri Department of Economic Development
website, to organize and provide public access to information on
available buildings and sites.
Discover! 370
Missouri’s High Tech Connector is a regional initiative that
highlights the development opportunities of Highway 370, a six-lane
interstate-quality freeway that connects St. Charles and St. Louis
Counties. In the next ten years, it is forecast that over $1 billion
of new investment will occur and create 20,000 new jobs on 5,000 acres
of land. Over 1,000 acres of fiber-optic ready business parks and land
zoned for commercial and industrial development are located within the
City of St. Charles.
Because the city also has historic districts and buildings on the
National Register of Historic Places, these locations are eligible for
Missouri’s 25% historic tax credits and federal historic tax credits
of 20% off the developer’s/owner’s tax liability. The ambience of St.
Charles’ Historic Main Street attracts over 1,500,000 visitors
annually and is the center of dining, music, shops and a magnet of
office developments of primarily technology-based companies.
Our small business incubator, the
Advanced Technology Center@Historic St. Charles, is open
and ready to serve up to 25 new and early-stage technology-based
businesses. This facility, located at 118 North Second Street, offers
a unique professional business environment that includes:
cost-efficient space, business management consultation services, T-1
phone lines, access to
the Internet via enhanced DSL, technical assistance, access to
financial programs, and use of conference rooms.
