The
Engineering Division is divided into three sections based upon the
three functions it performs. Those functions are:
to design and
construct City Capitol Projects,
to review and inspect Development
Projects, and
to maintain the Traffic lights and Traffic
infrastructure.
The Engineering Division is located on the second floor of City
Hall and is staffed with 15 Full Time employees.

The Senior Project Manager for City Projects
is responsible for the design, construction and inspection of City
road, sewer and water projects. These projects can be viewed by

This City Projects section of Engineering Division also works
closely with the Public Utilities Committee of the City Council, the Street Committee of the City Council as well as
St. Charles
County Road Board,
MoDOT and the
East/West Gateway
Coordinating Council.
The section is staffed with 6 full time employees including: 1
Senior Project Manager, 1 Project Manager (Engineer), 1 Project
Manager (Engineering Tech.), 1 Right-of-Way Specialist, 1 Assistant
Project Manager (CADD Tech.), and 1 Assistant Project Manager
(Inspector).

Developer Projects:
The Senior Project Manager for Developer Projects is
responsible for reviewing plans from developers within the City of St.
Charles and the inspection of the developments to ensure compliance
with City Codes and Ordinances.

This Developer Section of Engineering Division also works
closely with the Community Development Department and the
Planning and Zoning Commission. The section is staffed with 4 full
time employees including: 1 Senior Project Manager, 1 Storm Water
Program Manager, and 2 Assistant Project Managers (Inspectors).
Traffic Projects:
The Senior Project Manager for Traffic Projects is
responsible for traffic signal, traffic signage and street lighting
projects along with maintenance of these items. These projects can be
