The Division of Criminal Investigations consists of: Crimes Against
Persons, Crimes Against Property, and Evidence and Property Control.
Also, a part of the Division of Criminal Investigations is the DARE/
SRO unit. DARE/SRO officers also investigate crimes involving
juvenile offenders.
During the year of 2005, a total of 1,082 criminal cases were
assigned, and of that number, 495 were cleared. This represents a
clearance rate of 45.74%.
