Evidence and property control is an essential part of any criminal
investigation in which property or items are retrieved. Mary Magrew, a
civilian evidence technician, is responsible for the proper care and
maintenance of evidence and property submitted to her control and is
also a fingerprint examiner for the department. Patty Hallemeier, a
part-time evidence clerk, assists the unit.
The Police Department recovers between 80-100 bicycles annually.
