Investigative Services
The Criminal Investigations Services is comprised of two investigative sections.  These sections are Major Crimes and District Investigation.  Each section consists of specialized units that investigate crimes related to their specialty.  Personnel assigned to CID include sworn detective and full-time civilian employees.

The primary function of CID is to conduct follow-up investigations of reported crimes.  These investigations consist of interviewing suspects, victims, and witnesses; analyzing information for validity, reliability, and accuracy; and a comprehensive and factual case file to be presented in court.

Detective are selected through a formal process and receive additional investigative training as a result of their assignment.

It is imperative for modern law enforcement to remain connected to the community it serves. You can reach us by calling 636-949-3320 or Crime Stoppers Hotline at 636-949-3333.
