The Legal Department provides legal advice and support to the Mayor, City Council, City Departments and  Boards and Commissions concerning issues relating solely to City business.

The Legal Department is also responsible for the management of litigation involving the City; preparing City ordinances and resolutions; and preparing or reviewing contracts and leases.
