POPULATION
Located in the central U.S., St. Charles is the demographic bull’s eye
of the world’s richest market. With a population of 60,321, it is the
second largest city in the St. Louis region of 2.6 million and is
located in the heart of the growth area of that region. St. Charles
County has increased population by 33.3% between 1990 and 2000 to
283,883 and is ranked in the top 2% growth counties in the Nation.
According to the US Census, in July 2002, St. Charles County has reach
303,030.

HOUSING STARTS
In the past four years, more than 17,000 homes were built in St.
Charles County, providing homes to many of the new 75,000 resident
since 1990. During the year 2002, building permits were issued for 601
residential units within the City of St. Charles, valued at $55.01
million.

have an available work force with a wide range of skills.
